Them FIRE ideas

This month’s photo blog is mostly an accident. Was trying to come up with an idea of what to do, and in the course of shooting today, I more or less shot a series perfect for it. Was shooting for @lineoffire, which if you haven’t tried it, your missing out.

So my initial idea. Haven’t touched this shot at all, but it’s what I had in my mind when I started. Initial idea was based around, “how else can I use the shirt they sent me?” I am still very happy with how this turned out.

Then I wondered how it’ll look with some vape cloud in with it. There are a couple different ways to get that localized effect like that with the vape. I use the cardboard tube from a paper towel roll. Just really like how it turns out most of the time.

Then it popped into my head, what if I had some backlight or color to that vape cloud? Dig out that second speed light and red gel, play with the light settings and placement, and DAMN that was a great idea!!!

Take it into Lightroom for some touch ups on the lighting, some quick refinement and cropping, and here is the finished shot.

Yes I could take it into photoshop instead, and clean up the white spots, smooth it out a bit more. But I’m betting until I pointed them out most of y’all didn’t even notice did you?

Thanks for stopping by, big thanks to @Lineoffire for working with me, and thank you to the one and only @CaptainNasty himself for giving me this opportunity!

Have questions or want me to break something specific down next blog post let me know in the comments!!
