The original beetle. The first Volkswagen model that was in production since the days before WWII up until a decade or so ago. Here it was in its natural habitat in a traditional German town. The word Altdeutsches in the background translates literally as "Old-German". Isn't that fortunate. It was a photographic opportunity that couldn't be passed up.
A polariser may have done a better job of neutralising the reflections in the scene but would it have made a better image? We will never know. I didn't have it on me that day. The image has been edited to arrive at a sort of washed out look reminiscent of old photographs from the film era. Does it work? Maybe. Maybe not. It's learning by doing. Hints are welcome :)
