Mullein - Medicinal Process Cont.

Mullein Flowers - I took an artistic photo of these flowers earlier - holding them in my hand. These first 2 shots show what they look like in their natural setting - without the rosette base.

They can grow 8 feet tall, (maybe 10?), our stalk is about 6 feet tall.

Each morning I pick the new blossoms before the bugs get to them. I lay them out on a rack in dry air under a fan - opposed to humid air. I wait several days until they sound like paper crinkling and then put them in a jar, which I started at the beginning of their blooming season. I will continue this picking/drying process until the end of the blossom season before I go onto the next step - creating a medicinal tincture. The flower has the most "chi", the most healing energy and properties in the entire plant (this is true with most plants). Again, Mullein is good for colds, asthma and coughs. (Mullein leaves may also be smoked via pipe or rolled in paper to relieve bronchial symptoms of tobacco smokers. It can also be breathed in as a smudge.)

Thanks for viewing. :-)
