Curious Critter

I feel like this is me in disguise: Curious, Cute to a very select few (LOL), Here, but just for a few years in time.

Curious Critter

Curious Critter

When I started this blog, it was really about photography. The hobby type. Just easy, just fun, just hobby. And it still is about hobby. But I was looking at my photos all together - you know when you click on "Home" (for people who have a photoblog here in the community) and scroll and look at all of your photos at once.... I see a theme my own collection. The theme is "What Tawnya Loves". (I love, love. LOL) I suppose this is true with everyone - that you take photos of what you enjoy. Do you see a theme in your photography? Am I just weird? ...ok, ok, ok, I know I'm weird. LOL What would you say your theme is?

I 'love' this squirrel. More, I love his fingers and toes. So, it fits into my theme.

Now that you say that, I had the idea that "themes" probably change throughout the journey. And wouldn't you think that "preferences" do also?

Squirrels are so cute, I wish I would get one as a photomodel, but they are too quick for me. grinning
I think, everybody knows, that there is not only beauty and happiness around us, but my theme is probably, to show the beauty
of the world, we are living in. And beauty is all around us, it is in flowers, landscapes, in bugs, in animals, humans, etc...smiley cat

Maybe a squirrel will come later in life for you then! smile  So, I went to your "home" page and I can completely, very clearly see the theme of "beauty". It's without a doubt! It's a definite "vibe" for your work. Noticing a theme for my own, and hearing what others have to say has been enlightening! Thanks for commenting on this. purple heart

Of course "love" is involved in photography - especially when it comes to  squirrels ... -, but I "catch" very often things/situations just for documentary purpose only.  For example: I really don't love "roadkill", but there are to much biologists in my family ... Please don't invite us to dinner, you my learn a lot about rotting corpses even you don't want to!
When I started this blog just a month ago (not nearly enough to scroll through and find a main theme), I didn't expect to find so much graveyards in my collection. Maybe the inner archaeologist take over from time to time. AND maybe this photoblog is becoming  something like a therapie session. grinning smile

LOLOL.... I would love to hear about corpses, even over dinner. I have strong interest in esoteric topics (especially dark topics)! Documenting... you're also a teacher. I learn fascinating tidbits from you! So, perhaps one theme is "to teach"??? Dunno, just speculating.

Precious little creature! Nice shot!
I love so many things, I'm not sure what recurrent theme pops up in my images, other than scenes during dawn & dusk.....

Thanks Jay.  Maybe the way I describe my theme is more personal - someone else might not know this by looking at my collection. They may see something else, a pattern in the way I capture something, perhaps. For you, I see a style in your shots - a cleverness with reflection and light within your composition. Your composition is personal too - I haven't seen your match or likeness. grinning I suppose this all changes throughout the growth of the hobby too.

Ahh you're so lucky! Everytime I see a squirrel, it'll run away instantly.
Oh, and I would say my theme is "Its you who makes photographs wonderful"
Thanks for sharing this! smile

I guess I didn't consider myself lucky as I captured this squirrel, but I do now! lol .... and I remember reading your theme on your tagline. grinning
