Milwaukee Sheet Rock Screw Gun

My husband put a new cord on his Milwaukee screw gun and added a new bit holder. I thought it would be a good monochrome piece for me to practice with.

Thank you Heike.  Just two adjustments - contrast and shadow.  I think the photo lent itself well to monochrome. smile

GREAT!
My first thought: This is something from a movie - some steampunk ...
I was deeply disappointed, when I serched for "screw gun" and it was just a ... screw gun ...
Made my day!

Now that you mention it, there is a steampunk look about it. I haven't seen any other photographers play in "steampunk" effects other than cosplay - people dressing for characters and then having their photo taken. Do you know of photographers who specialize in steampunkery? I LOVE that genre. I just followed a steampunk artist on Pinterest. grinning

Hi Jay - no to HDR. I used Darktable - open source software. I tweaked the contrast and the shadows, that's it. smile Now I feel like running it through my HDR program to see the options. LOL
