Generally when you see a picture of an acorn it brown. I decide this little guy looked great just the way he was.

Not quite the section of the stream where you would want to walk barefoot, but pretty none-the-less.

The folks that own this barn have done a great job keeping it in good condition.

I have tried to shoot several sunset photos, but this was the first one I ever shot that was close to how it really looked.

Even with the cloudy water this photo just has something about it.

This little guy was all alone. Actually I am supprised the deer hadn’t ate him.

This tree stands all by itself, on a gravel road in Central Iowa. Since I took this picture I have seen photos of it by others. It is kind of like the “Where’s Waldo” of trees.

I will admit there is a lot of green here, but I just like the way the milkweed pods look.

An old radio station broadcast build. I don’t know the story for sure, but this seems like it was a nice building that had several people working it in at anygiven moment in time. Back when you worked right under the tower you were broadcasting from. Now-a-days you can be anywhere.

This could very well be one of the last shot of this bridge. They have since tore it out and replaced it with a tube.

I grew up on a farm and spent may summers walking around cutting these down. I still want to cut it down, but I can admire the beauty first.

Back in the early 2000’s I bought a Canon XT digital camera and played around with it. For the most part, I only used it for family stuff and really never tried to master it. I was able to get a few nice shots that maybe I can dig up and put out here, but they were more luck than talent.

Well my wife, who used to be a Photographer, decided to fire up her passion for taking pictures and went out and bought herself a Nikon D5600 and a few lenses. She kept bringing her camera with her anytime we went out for the off chance she saw something. At first, I was just letting her do her thing but after a couple of weeks, I started to feel like I was missing out.

So I decided to get myself a camera. I didn’t want to get into it as much as she did, so I went out a bought a Nikon B500. That is all it took. We started to make special trips to go take pictures. We would hours driving around to various places to capture something, so much so that kids would start to complain.

Photography is running in my blood again.
