What an odd name for citrus tree! Even if the fruit ends up looking like a lemon with seven, twelve or more pointed tentacles. Heritage has it that a fruit with the tentacles or fingers closed is a sign of prayer which people though would please Bouddha. This exceptional fruit is said to favor a long life, happiness and luck. You don’t eat this citrus as you would an orange or lemon, there’s no juice in it. However the skin and pulpy white flesh is marvelous in salads or mixed into home-made sorbets.
