Tuesday inspiration

After the piles of snow had melted away this object was found by the side of the road. I've no idea what it is although I'm sure that it is very useful and valuable if connected to the right equipment in the right context. Now it's just a useless lump of metal, Even the kids, who find it irresistible, just drag it a few meters before they dump it.

(OK, this is a bit tenuous but still).

I saw this last night and couldn't think of anything relevant to say. It *is* a bit tenuous, but if you know the theme, it makes sense.
