Selena: one month

I live for picture updates! haha

My baby girl is one month old. How fast was that?!

There are some things that are super similar to how Caleb was at one month [photoblog.com], but other things are totally new and different.

Size: 9 lbs, 5 oz, 21.5 inches. She sure looks like she chunked up a good bit! Those cheeks! That double chin! haha

New developments: those little legs will push off with mighty baby strength! She can smile with her eyes open, she even gives big gummy grins sometimes. She's got a bad case of baby acne right now, but I remember the same thing happening to Caleb and know it's not a big deal.

Sleep: not great. During the day, her naps are normal and she's not fussy while she's awake. At night, though! She struggles to go to sleep. Sometimes she'll fuss for 2 hours straight before finally giving in to sleep. I know I had a similar experience with Caleb, but I don't know that it was quite this bad… I go through this every single night with Selena. Sooo sleepy

Movement: She pops her head up effortlessly if she's on her tummy (but can't hold it up very long). She can wiggle right out of a swaddle and can wiggle closer or farther away from me in bed at night.

Likes: nursing, of course! Sleeping tummy down on my chest. Lots of skin to skin contact. Burping :)

Dislikes: baths. Her pacifier. When milk squirts out her nose (happens often!). Hiccups. Nighttime (I assume…)

My favorite moments: Listening to her baby noises. Looking at her :)

Pesiosa 😊😍 She is beautiful Jess!!
Mija didn't like her paci either! So she never used it. I also had a hard time with her sleeping. What worked for me was chamomile tea. The tea bags. I started giving it to her since a couple of weeks of birth. Worked wonders. Told her pediatrician about it, he didn't get mad lol. I still give it to her it soothes her. Girls rock! Jijiji
