Iceland Trip // Þingvellir // Part Ten

The last day before our adventure was over, was decidedly going to be visiting anything last minute that we passed up. We ended up going to Þingvellir, stopping at the Álafosslopi Factory along the way.

Þingvellir was perhaps the most informational part of our adventure. I wouldn't call myself a history buff, but I absolutely love reading and learning about the history of culture, and a place, and Þingvellir has a huge story to tell.

If you ever decide to go to Iceland, I cannot stress how much you should spend the day at Þingvellir, and yes, spend the 4000 ISK and go through their interactive museum! It was awesome! We learned so much!

After our day was over, we found some Icelandic ponies near the road. We stopped with the intention of taking a few photographs, but ended up making a friend!

Immediately after stepping out of our vehicle, they came running to the fence. They were so incredibly friendly, and loved the attention.

Petting them also made my allergies go crazy, so proceed with caution. It was worth every minute though.
