Restoration

We had this .22 rifle in our house for quite a while. I’ve always had a love for wood work so I gave it a try. First attempt at trying to restore an old rifle, definitely doesn’t look 100% but I’m impressed. I gained a lot of experience through this effort.

There were multiple marks on the body of the gun

Sanding it down with 3 different grains on sanding paper, by hand.

After I sanded it down I used a wood stain to give it a better color and then used a varnish to give it that extra shine as well as that extra coat of protection.
