cought this guy as i was cutting wood at my place so i just had to stop and run to get the camera and started shotting you can listen to one of my favorite song LYNYRD SKYNYRD FREEBIRD [youtube.com]

      Wonderful shots of this sapsucker! I captured a red-bellied female in my tree and yard..then the baby at the bird bath :-) Not nearly as good shots as yours though..

      What a lovely bird!! Great shots! I heard a woodpecker today; I didnt even knew they lived here in the UK...but apparently so!

      such pretty colors and markings. so glad you ran to get your camera. that name sure is a mouthful!!! don't think we have this kind of bird here. looks like he saw you in the 8th shot.

      Omg! I captured a set of something similiar recently! This is called a Yellow bellied Sapsucker woodpecker...I photographed a Red bellied Woodpecker recently, which I'll be posting soon. :)) I've never actually seen one of these before so it's great that you shared your photos with us! congrats my friend!
