The Entrance of Borough Market. London

On a recent trip to London the first stop on my sight seeing tour was Borough Market. Set just off the main road Borough Market is home to local and international produce. The market is one of the oldest and largest food markets in London having been situated here since 1014. The retail market operates on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 5pm, Fridays from 10am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 8 am to 5 pm. The wholesale market operates on all weekday mornings from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Creamy Comte

Whilst walking through the market there are many cheese vendors situated about the place. I stumbled upon this lovely stack of sliced 14 month Comte which looked delicious.

Yummy Olives

It couldn't be a market without someone selling olives. I just love the way that the spoon in the first bowl is so crisp and sharp and how the rest fade into the background.

Loose Fruit

The vibrant yellow of the bananas in this picture is what stands out the most for me. I just love how they are all piled up on the center of the stand.

Sticking Together

This was another of my favourite pictures from my visit to Borough Market. Throughout the market there are various vendors selling different varieties of fish but I thought this one was great as it seemed like these two were sticking together.

The final picture from my visit to the market that I really like is of all of these cups of juice. I love the different vibrant colours and all the different flavours that the stall were offering.
